Portugal wins 39 awards including Best European Destination for the 3rd consecutive year.
Portugal was elected, for the third consecutive year, the Best European Tourist Destination by the World Travel Awards, in a ceremony that took place on Saturday night in Madeira.
In a statement sent by the office of the Deputy Minister of Economy, it is stated that this distinction was first granted to the country in 2017, renewed in 2018 and again granted in 2019 which consolidates Portugals international recognition as a tourist destination and shows how the country is "at the top of international tourist preferences".
