The longest train journey in the world starts in Portugal
The longest train ride in the world connects Portugal to southern Vietnam. The route is not new, but again made to talk on social networks this Monday, March 7. The Weird World page (a curiosity site) shared a photo on Facebook explaining that the two countries are linked by about 17,000 kilometers of railways, making this the longest rail route in the world.
The route starts in Porto, but no, it is not possible to reach Porto-Campanhã Train Station and request a ticket to Vietnam. Its a bit more complicated than that: from Porto you have to leave for Coimbra, from Coimbra to Hendaye (France), and so on.
See the full route.
